- What is the U2 Mobile Album application?
- In celebration of U2’s 360° Tour and latest album, “No Line On The Horizon”, Research In Motion (RIM) and U2 have partnered to redefine the album and concert going experience. The U2 Mobile Album is a custom application that allows BlackBerry® smartphone users to connect more closely to the band and other fans through news and social elements. In addition, the application provides access to lyrics, song and video clips, stories, and artwork from U2’s new album to help extend the reach and experience of the U2 360° Tour.

- The U2 Mobile Album is designed to allow BlackBerry smartphone users to:
- Access song and video clips from the “No Line On The Horizon” album
- View original origami-style photo displays inspired by the music
- View exclusive photos of the band in the recording studio and on the road
- Purchase the “No Line On The Horizon” album directly from a BlackBerry smartphone
- Receive real-time updates from U2 using BlackBerry push-based infrastructure
- Access RSS news feeds from U2.com and receive notifications when new content is available

- Once the U2 Mobile Album is downloaded, an icon appears in the Downloads folder on the BlackBerry smartphone. Content within the application, such as music and video clips, is stored on the BlackBerry smartphone user’s microSD card.

- How much does it cost to download this application?
- The U2 Mobile Album application is available at no charge for BlackBerry smartphone users. However, BlackBerry smartphone users should check with their wireless service providers as additional download and data charges may apply.

- What if a BlackBerry smartphone user has a service plan that does not include internet browsing?
- BlackBerry smartphone users require a service plan that includes internet browsing, or will need a Wi-Fi® enabled BlackBerry smartphone to access any features in this application that require an Internet connection.

Using the Application

- How can a BlackBerry smartphone user purchase the “No Line On The Horizon” album?
- BlackBerry smartphone users can purchase either individual songs or the entire “No Line On The Horizon” album using the U2 Mobile Album application.

- From the Home screen of the application, BlackBerry smartphone users can navigate to the “No Line On The Horizon” section of the application. BlackBerry smartphone users can click on the “Buy” button to purchase single songs or the entire “No Line On The Horizon” album from a third-party provider.
- Alternatively, a BlackBerry smartphone user can listen to a song clip within the “No Line On The Horizon” section of the application, and then purchase the full-length song or the “No Line On The Horizon” album.
- Available payment options include Visa®, Mastercard®, Maestro®, Switch™, and Solo™.

- What currencies are supported for purchasing the “No Line On The Horizon” album?
- At present, supported currencies are US dollars (USD), Pound Sterling (GBP), and the EURO (EUR).

- If songs have been downloaded to a BlackBerry smartphone using the U2 Mobile Album application, can these songs also be downloaded to a computer?
- BlackBerry smartphone users have the option to download purchased songs from the “No Line On The Horizon” album to a computer or a BlackBerry smartphone. After purchasing the “No Line On The Horizon” album using the U2 Mobile Album application, the BlackBerry smartphone user should receive a download receipt from 7digital Media Limited. Within this email message is a link to the 7digital Media Limited website where the BlackBerry smartphone user can download the MP3 files to a computer without having to pay for the songs again.
- Note: Files are available in 320 kbps and 64 kbps MP3 format. It is recommended that BlackBerry smartphone users download the 64 kbps files when downloading songs to a BlackBerry smartphone over the wireless network.

- Can a BlackBerry smartphone user use this application to purchase other U2 albums?
- No, other U2 albums cannot be purchased using the U2 Mobile Album application.

- Is there a way that a BlackBerry smartphone user can listen to full-length songs from the “No Line On The Horizon” album using this application?
- Yes, after purchasing and downloading the “No Line On The Horizon” album, BlackBerry smartphone users can play full-length songs from the album, using the U2 Mobile Album application, instead of the included song clips. Songs must be stored on a BlackBerry smartphone, but can be purchased and downloaded over the wireless network or transferred from a computer.

- No, tickets for the U2 360° Tour cannot be purchased using the U2 Mobile Album. For information on the tour and purchasing tickets, visit www.U2.com/tour.

- Can photos from the Gallery within the U2 Mobile Album application be used as wallpaper on a BlackBerry smartphone?
- No, photos found in the Gallery of the U2 Mobile Album cannot be used as wallpaper. However, a U2 theme designed for BlackBerry smartphones can be downloaded at www.blackberry.com/u2.
- To upload photos to be incorporated into the origami-style photo displays found within this application, BlackBerry smartphone users can visit the Community section within the U2 web site. From here, BlackBerry smartphone users will need to sign into the site, and go to Photos / Add a photo. BlackBerry smartphone users should ‘tag’ their photo with the name of the song that they would like their photo to appear with. Photos that are not tagged will not appear in origami-style photo displays.
- Note: Photos must be uploaded using a computer.

- BlackBerry smartphone users should check to make sure that they are connected to the wireless service provider’s network, or have a Wi-Fi connection.
