The new BlackBerry Certification credential management system allows you to track and manage your BlackBerry Certification Program profile and status.
Who Can Get Certified?
The BlackBerry Certification Program is open to everyone, from BlackBerry customers to employees of service providers.
How Do I Get Certified?
To get certified, you must register for and take exams at one of Prometric's Testing Centers, which are available at over 3000 locations around the world. Exams are 1.5 hours and cost $150 USD. Beta exams, indicated by exam codes that start with BCX, are 4 hours long.
How Can I Prepare for My Exam?
There are a number of resources available to help you prepare for your exams, from BlackBerry training courses to exam guides. View suggested training courses

BlackBerry Certified Solution Designer
The BlackBerry Certified Solution Designer certification is designed for technical professionals who provide pre- and post-sales technical consulting services to BlackBerry customers.

BlackBerry Certified System Administrator
The BlackBerry® Certified System Administrator certification is designed for technical professionals who install, configure and manage BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software in an enterprise environment.

Support and Troubleshooting
BlackBerry Certified Support Specialist
Choose the BlackBerry Certified Support Specialist option if you support BlackBerry smartphone end-users in a BlackBerry® Internet Service or enterprise environment.
Required Exams
- One exam on supporting BlackBerry smartphones in either a BlackBerry Internet Service or enterprise environment
Exams Currently Available
BlackBerry Internet Service exams:
- BCP-210 Supporting BlackBerry Devices in a BlackBerry Internet Service Environment
- NEW: BCX-220 Supporting BlackBerry Devices in a BlackBerry Internet Service v2.7 Environment1
Note: The BCX-220 exam is an update to the BCP-210 exam and is currently in beta. When this exam is released in its live format (approximately November 2009), the BCP-210 exam will be retired and no longer available for testing.
Individuals certified as a result of successfully passing the BCX-210 or BCP-210 exam will be required to recertify by March 31, 2010 to maintain their certification status. As of March 31, 2010, all BlackBerry Certified Support Specialist certifications earned as a result of successfully passing the BCX-210 or BCP-210 exam will expire. FAQ
Where can I register for a certification exam?
To register for an exam, visit the Prometric website and click on Schedule your test.
Where can I find my nearest testing location?
Prometric has over 3000 testing sites across the world. To find the nearest testing location, go to the Prometric website and select Locate a test center.
What is the cost for each exam?
Each exam attempt costs $150 USD. To see the conversion to your own currency, visit the Prometric website and select Exam Fees
What kind of training material is available for certification exams?
Each BlackBerry® certification exam has its own exam guide. It’s recommended you review the relevant exam guide(s) as they outline the content required to successfully complete each certification exam.
In addition, you can find training courses related to the exam’s objectives in the corresponding exam guides. All of the exam guides can be found under the Certifications and Exams tab.
What’s a beta exam?
The BlackBerry Certification Program currently offers beta versions of exams—exam codes starting with BCX. A beta exam will consist of approximately 150-200 questions to be completed over 4 hours. Candidates will be asked to answer all of the questions that may be used in the final exam.
If beta candidates pass the beta exam, they’ll credit toward the relevant BlackBerry certification(s). Beta candidates will not receive their results immediately as beta results go under extensive analysis to determine the final pool of items and establish the passing score.
How do I become a beta participant?
To be added to the pool of potential beta candidates, email certification@blackberry.com with the certification streams/exams of interest. Due to the demand for beta exams, you may not receive an invitation to all exams of interest.
Can I achieve certification if I pass a beta exam?
Yes. Completing and passing the beta exam will grant you the same credit toward certification as a live exam.
How long will it take to receive my certification package after I have passed a live exam or a beta exam?
It will take approximately 8 to 10 weeks once you’ve written and passed a live exam to receive your certification package.
If you write a beta exam, it will take approximately 8 to 10 weeks to receive your certification package from the time the beta ends.

The BlackBerry coach self-study guide series is now available for a number of exam offerings. The self-study guides correspond directly to the exam objectives and are a great resource if you’re planning to attempt any of the below exams.

BlackBerry Certification Credential Management System
Maintain your BlackBerry Certification Program profile and track your status and progress toward certification through the new credential management system.
Your account will be automatically created upon completion of your first BlackBerry certification exam and you’ll receive an Account Activation email with the details you’ll need to access your account. Those who have previously completed an exam and provided their email address when registering were sent account activation emails at the launch of the system.
If you’ve previously taken an exam and haven’t received your account activation email, contact certification@blackberry.com and provide your Prometric testing ID. A BlackBerry Certification Program team member will verify your information, update your email address and send you details to access the system.
Once you’ve activated your account, the BlackBerry Certification credential management system will be accessible to you at www.blackberry.com/mycert.
