The BlackBerry® Basic Paging Service allows you to receive pages through a common toll-free number (1-877-572-4322) from anywhere in your home country of Canada or the United States.
When callers dial the shared number of 1-877-572-4322 that is provided with this feature, they need to enter a specific 7-digit identifier number known as the "Paging PIN", before leaving a numeric message. You can also record a personal greeting prior to the entry of the numeric message.
Paging messages are always delivered directly to your handheld, bypassing your corporate inbox.
ePage
All BlackBerry Paging solutions include ePage, allowing contacts to send you an alphanumeric page through the BlackBerry website, as well as through email. Contacts are required to enter the 7-digit Paging PIN, which is used as part of the email address, in order to send an ePage. This offers an additional secure method for contacts to reach you.
Coverage
BlackBerry Paging solutions are covered by 2 of the same networks, which offer the BlackBerry wireless email service, including the AT&T network in the United States and the Rogers Wireless network in Canada.
Both networks offer broad coverage, nationwide roaming, fast messaging and reliable delivery. Even if your handheld is turned off or temporarily out of coverage, your pages will be stored and forwarded automatically when you return to coverage.
Callers can reach you from anywhere in your home country of Canada or the United States. You can also purchase roaming on your BlackBerry device, which will allow you to receive pages in both countries.
