A new profiling window improves visibility of paths, data sizes and load times for web-based content, such as HTML, JavaScript, images, style sheets, XMLHttpRequest data and other object web resources.

BlackBerry Web Development Plug-in for Eclipse™ 1.0 (Beta)

The BlackBerry® Plug-in for Eclipse™ allows developers to use the Eclipse development environment to profile, debug and test code designed for the BlackBerry Browser.

Improved debugging provides developers with the ability to debug from page source by setting breakpoints and variable watching within JavaScript or HTML source.

To assist with AJAX development, request and response data of XMLHttpRequest traffic is readily available in XMLHTTPView window.

BlackBerry Java Development Environment (BlackBerry JDE)

The BlackBerry® Java® Development Environment (BlackBerry JDE), created by and for Research In Motion (RIM) developers, is a Java® development environment that includes a suite of tools for creating, testing, packaging and distributing applications for BlackBerry smartphones.

The BlackBerry JDE enables developers to effectively use the unique features of the BlackBerry smartphone such as: customizable UI, push technology, multimedia, GPS and location-based services, email and calendar access, desktop synchronization and internet/intranet connectivity.

The BlackBerry JDE is currently available in versions between 3.6 to 4.7. Multiple versions can be run on the same machine.
